TEN

VH1 Divas Live: An Honors Concert for VH1’s Save the Music, aired live from New York City’s Beacon Theatre on April 14, 1998. The Divas sang “(You make me feel like) A Natural Woman”.
Performers: Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion & Carole King.

NINE

Elton John performed “Candle in the Wind” at the funeral of the late Princess Diana, in Westminster Abbey. Song was altered by writer Bernie Taupin for the special occasion.

EIGHT

MTV Unplugged featuring Eric Clapton where he sang “Tears in Heaven” in tribute of his son, age 4, died when he fell from a 53rd storey window of a New York city apartment.

SEVEN

Sean Combs (aka P. Diddy) paying tribute to the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. With him Sting, 112 and Faith Evans singing “I’ll Be Missing You” at the 1997 MTV Video Awards.

SIX

Nirvana performed for MTV Unplugged in November 1993, they only played one of their hits “Come As You Are” and ended with a cover of Leadbelly’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night”.

FIVE

At the 2001 Grammy Awards, Eminem shocked fans when he performed “Stan” alongside Elton John who sang Dido’s lines. Eminem had been the subject of criticism over lyrics of his songs from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

The debut of the “Moonwalk” – signature dance of Michael Jackson whilst performing “Billie Jean” at the Motown 25,: Yesterday, Today, Forever television special.

“Just Stand Up” featuring vocals by Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, Le Ann Rimes, Ashanti, Ciara and Nicole Scherzinger. They performed for the Stand Up to Cancer event on September 5, 2008.
